About Us
Eye Shine Foundation is a program which fosters independence, social skills, greater employability and overall improved quality of life for the patrons we serve. Eye Shine Foundation will be serving children (Kindergarten - 12th) who are blind or visually impaired. Loss of vision and independence impact overall quality of life for children with vision related needs. Providing recreational opportunities for these populations improves quality of life.
We can make a difference in the lives of those with vision loss with this program. Children with visual impairments are provided the tools for academics in the school environment, but recreation is often overlooked. Many blind children graduate from school with academic skills, but lack social and recreational skills to be successful in life. Building social skills, independence and recreational interests improves overall quality of life for the children we serve. It empowers them and gives them the confidence to do more, be more and try new things. Social skills for this population of kids are often lacking because they do not see facial expressions, read body language or initiate social interactions. Being more well-rounded and social leads to greater success in all areas of life.

Eye Shine Foundation is committed to providing opportunities for fun and improved quality of life for people with vision loss throughout the Raleigh/Durham/Fayetteville area of North Carolina.
